Kathleen McGurl

where past and present collide

Bio

Kathleen McGurl is an author of dual timeline novels in which a historical mystery is uncovered and resolved in the present day.

She lives by the sea in Christchurch, England, with her husband, and has two grown-up sons who have now moved out. After many years of working in IT for a large retail company, she is now writing full time. Or at least, writing novels in between having numerous holidays and touring Europe in her motorhome.

Her novels are published by HQ (HarperCollins), and are available as ebooks, paperbacks and audiobooks from all online retailers.

latest news

My book The Lost Child was published at the end of January and I’m delighted by the reviews its received!

It was inspired by a book by Jay Ludowyke about Carpathia, the ship that picked up Titanic’s passengers. This book was recommended to me by book blogger Cindy L. Spear, after she read my earlier book The Lost Sister!

Foreign language editions

Some of my books are available (or will be soon) in other languages:

The Drowned Village - in French

The Drowned Village - in Danish

The Lost Sister - in Dutch

The Lost Sister - in Finnish

The Secret of the Chateau - in Finnish

The Girl with the Emerald Flag - in Finnish

Mr Cavell’s Diamond - in Brazilian Portuguese

I’m delighted to have been asked to collaborate with Millie Bobby Brown on her novel, Nineteen Steps and I’m very proud of the book we produced.
